I everyone, I’m fresh started into listening the podcast and I find it very useful. I’m an EMDR therapist and I practice EMDR since I had my training. The one thing I’m starting to notice, is that there is still confusion and “mistery” around how EMDR works inside the brain, while there shouldn’t be. There are many different studies demonstrating exactly what the mechanism of action is, and this is something that I explain to my patients all the time (adjusting to their educational level or using methapors).
Here I post one of the groundbreaking studies carried out by a lead researcher for National Center of Research in Italy, Dr Marco Pagani:

Can you share with us what it is you say to the client? In my EMDR training, the trainer said it is unknown scientifically what happens in the brain, so I would love this information.
